In this unit you will study and critically assess high-impact precedents and emerging issues that have shaped, and are shaping, competition laws and commercial practices around the world. This global and comparative perspective will be particularly helpful in framing the development of laws and practices in the ASEAN context, where competition laws are still new or developing. This unit caters both to future business leaders, who need to understand where the legal boundaries are in commerce, and to future law practitioners interested in this field and wishing to make an immediate impact upon graduation, whether in a law firm or as part of an in-house legal team.

- Identify legal issues with a high level of consistency and accuracy;
- engage in critical, compelling and highly-reasoned legal analysis;
- Demonstrate evidence of advanced creative thinking in developing sophisticated solutions to legal problems;
- Conduct comprehensive research and writing in relation to competition law based on advanced knowledge of appropriate research principles and methods.
