This unit builds on knowledge and skills developed in earlier marketing units to strengthen students’ ability to evaluate and implement marketing strategies in organisational contexts. It emphasises marketing strategy implementation, including performance measurement, evidence-based evaluation, and the development of actionable marketing plans. You will critically assess the effectiveness of marketing strategies, including their social and environmental implications, and communicate marketing action plans in written, visual, and oral formats. As a capstone unit within the marketing major, it integrates learning from previous marketing units.

- discuss the important role of marketing strategy implementation in organisations
- evaluate the effectiveness of a business’s marketing strategy in delivering socially and environmentally responsible outcomes
- apply appropriate marketing measurement criteria to assess the effectiveness of marketing strategies
- recommend appropriate marketing strategies to solve company's marketing problem
- communicate marketing action plans both orally and in written format to company clients
Workload
Minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this unit is 144 hours per semester typically comprising a mixture of scheduled learning activities and independent study. Independent study may include associated readings, assessment and preparation for scheduled activities. You are expected to complete all pre-class activities prior to your scheduled class, and post-class activities should be completed after your scheduled class. Learning activities may include a combination of teacher directed, peer directed and online engagement activities.
