Overview

Marketing strategies in a VUCA world will equip you with the advanced strategic capabilities needed to navigate volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity in global markets. You will integrate contemporary theory, evidence-based frameworks, and real-world application to strengthen your skills in applying strategic data insights, adaptive decision-making, and innovation under uncertainty. Through industry case analyses and exercises, you will learn to design, justify, and implement agile marketing strategies that balance stakeholder needs, ethics, and long-term resilience that enable organisations to sustain competitive advantage in dynamic environments.

  3. design and communicate adaptive marketing strategies that leverage agility, innovation, and foresight to address dynamic market environments.

Workload

Minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this unit is 144 hours per semester typically comprising a mixture of scheduled learning activities and independent study. Independent study may include associated readings, assessment and preparation for scheduled activities. You are expected to complete all pre-class activities prior to your scheduled class, and post-class activities should be completed after your scheduled class. Learning activities may include a combination of teacher directed, peer directed and online engagement activities.
