Overview

This unit provides you with the opportunity to develop your research and communication skills through analysis of state-of-the-art and emerging technologies and trends that are being implemented across the pharmaceutical development pipeline. As many of these technologies have the capacity to rapidly generate large amounts of data, you will also gain experience in the interpretation and evaluation of statistical methods used in the context of pharmaceutical science. Throughout this unit you will also gain exposure to various concepts that underpin emerging research and development trends in the pharmaceutical industry including formulating and testing a hypothesis, and will develop the skills required to make professionally informed decisions about the design of new scientific investigations, data analysis and the communication of outcomes to a variety of stakeholders.
