Overview

This unit builds on the broad understanding of sustainability challenges established in MSI5220 to critically evaluate evidence associated with local and regional issues. You will learn to identify different kinds of evidence, including local manifestations of global issues; the efficacy of potential responses and solutions in particular contexts; and the evaluation of solution pathways. Using real-world, locally-relevant case study policies, you will investigate the strength of evidence underpinning current responses; survey, prioritise and recommend possible alternative solutions; and devise strategies to gather robust data on practical courses of action to ensure their long-term success and impact.
