Overview

The unit explores the role of formal and informal knowledge networks in project delivery. It focuses on developing an understanding of how project managers acquire and exchange knowledge with the use of analytics and artificial intelligence to enhance both project outcomes and organisational learning. The unit incorporates concepts and theories from various disciplines aligned to project management, knowledge management and analytics to enrich your understanding of the socio-technical aspects of project management to support informed decision-making.

  3. critically reflect on project knowledge approaches for improved project outcomes in complex organisational contexts.

Workload

Minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this unit is 144 hours per semester typically comprising a mixture of scheduled learning activities and independent study. Independent study may include associated readings, assessment and preparation for scheduled activities. You are expected to complete all pre-class activities prior to your scheduled class, and post-class activities should be completed after your scheduled class. Learning activities may include a combination of teacher directed, peer directed and online engagement activities.
