Learning outcomes
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the types of tools and methods required to analyse strategic planning problems that are commonly used in urban planning and design practice, including identifying and collecting data;
- Demonstrate proficiency in applying techniques and methods commonly employed in planning practice, including skills in GIS and statistics;
- Integrate skills in spatial analytical methods to effectively research and analyse planning problems, seeking innovative solutions to complex urban challenges;
- Effectively communicate projects, demonstrating the ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
- Engage in ethical data collection and analysis, recognising the complex implications for communities and environments;
- Adapt to evolving technological challenges, seek new knowledge, and engage in continuous self-directed learning.
Workload
12 hours per week including 3 contact hours. The remaining 9 hours are to be used for self and group learning activities.
