Contemporary public policy professionals are required to deliver innovative solutions to policy-related challenges employing advanced critical thinking, evaluation and research skills to communicate policy-related matters and advocacy in a range of formats to professional and non-professional audiences. The Graduate Certificate of Public Policy offers foundation practical knowledge and skills for careers in a range of policy making, governance and management sectors. The degree builds essential skills in critical thinking, writing and presentation in multicultural settings designed to enhance learning success and career capabilities.
Structure
You must complete 18 credit points from the following units. Note: APG5103 is not available to students who have been approved by ANSZOG to progress into the Executive Masters of Public Administration.
You must complete 6 credit points of Level 5 elective studies. When choosing your elective unit, it may be useful to consider exploring the following options to complement your public policy studies: • units not completed in core studies; • units from any other Arts graduate course; • units offered by other faculties including: Business and Economics, Law, and Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences; and/or • Postgraduate - Monash Innovation Guarantee (https://www.monash.edu/flagship-rich-experiences/mig/postgraduate).
