Commerce and information technology are inseparable in the modern world, and the need for more sophisticated technology is intense. People with the commercial skills to understand and implement technology are in high demand, and with these two degrees you will have these skills. You could: • combine accounting and software development to create software programs for accountants • mix games development and marketing science to understand the demands of selling a video game franchise • pair business information systems with econometrics or actuarial science to develop expertise in the growing field of data analytics • learn how to commercialise information technology services and products.

Structure

You must complete 192 credit points, of which 96 credit points are from the Bachelor of Commerce (including all the requirements in Parts A, B and C for the single degree) and 96 credit points from the Bachelor of Information Technology (including all the requirements in Parts A and B for the single degree). In this double degree, you will complete one major from Bachelor of Commerce (B2001) and one major from Bachelor of Information Technology (C2000). Where you have space in your degree you may complete an additional major. Some majors, minors and specialisations include the same units. Where this occurs, up to 12 credit points may be shared between: - two majors; or - a major and a minor; or - a specialisation and a major or minor. Note: Units can only count toward one minor. They cannot be shared across multiple minors.

You must complete 96 credit points, including all of the requirements in Part A, Part B and Part C for the Bachelor of Commerce. Note: If you are completing the Accounting major as part of this double degree, ECX2953 is required for professional accreditation. You can complete ECX2953 in Part A instead of ECC1000, and you will not be required to complete ECC1100.

You must complete 96 credit points, including all of the requirements in Part A and B, for the Bachelor of Information Technology.
