The Master of Global Business is a multi-disciplinary program that advances your knowledge of business and the global environment in which it operates. This Master’s program provides you not only with a comprehensive understanding of the dynamic economic, political and social forces that affect and impact upon global business, but also with the skill set required to function and operate in a global environment. The Master of Global Business is designed to build upon your work experience and your undergraduate credentials by further developing and strengthening your business skills and acumen. This program advances your ability to address the global issues and challenges faced by business and society by improving your ability to critically analyse, problem solve and develop solutions. These skills are further enhanced and developed through an appreciation of the global context in which business operates and how it deals with issues of a geo-political nature, business-government relations, trade and its governance, global supply chain, sustainability, social responsibility and intercultural communication. If you are interested in further research within this domain, the Master of Global Business can also provide a pathway into a higher degree by research. The Master of Global Business, ultimately looks to produce graduates with a comprehensive and multi-disciplined perspective of global business, that enables them to not only better understand the contemporary global environment in which business operates but just as importantly create and produce innovative solutions for the business, professional, social and public policy communities which they serve. As part of the Master of Global Business, you can choose to attend the Berkeley Haas Global Access Program for one semester, and receive a Berkeley Haas certificate. Structure
You must complete 12 credit points from the Faculty’s capstone portfolio of units, which includes capstone, business practice , study tours, internships or project units. Note: You may instead complete 6 credit points from the Faculty’s capstone portfolio of units, which includes capstone, business practice , study tours, internships or project units. and an additional 6 credit points from outside of these lists, subject to Course Director approval and meeting any prerequisite requirements.
You must complete 24 credit points of elective study. Electives can be chosen from; - Either Level 4 or Level 5 units from the Faculty of Business and Economics, or units from across the University, provided you have met the relevant prerequisites and there are no enrolment restrictions; - Units not already completed in Part A above; - The list of Industry or International experience units from Part B above that have not already been completed.
