Building on and consolidating work completed in previous Chinese studies, this unit will further introduce you to a range of texts of different genres in contemporary Chinese. Your ability to understand contemporary China and their skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing will be further developed.

Learning outcomes
- communicate complex ideas in both spoken and written forms, consolidating the language skills already acquired in Chinese Advanced 2;
- critique a range of texts in contemporary Chinese;
- utilise cross-cultural communication strategies through translation and critical thinking of a range of social and cultural topics concerning contemporary China.
