Overview

Create immersive experiences that redefine the boundaries of reality and imagination. This unit introduces you to the exciting world of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), combining theory and hands-on practice to spark your creativity. You will explore the evolution of VR and AR within Human-Computer Interaction practice and learn how human perception shapes immersive digital environments. Working in a studio environment, you will use cutting-edge hardware and software to design and develop your own innovative VR and AR applications. This practical approach enables you to apply core design principles and build skills that prepare you for future projects in immersive media.

  1. Demonstrate awareness of VR and AR evolution within Human-Computer Interaction
  2. Understand the relationship between human perception and VR/AR technologies
  3. Utilise state-of-the-art VR/AR hardware and software technologies
  4. Analyse appropriate design principles for creating VR/AR applications
  5. Develop VR and AR applications

Workload
