Overview

This unit explores how the laws and legal systems impact environmental justice. The unit will explore approaches to the study and practice of environmental justice, and ask students to think critically about how laws and legal systems impact environmental justice. The unit may examine issues from a range of domestic, international, comparative, and policy perspectives.

  1. Apply advanced knowledge and demonstrated understanding of legal principles governing environmental justice.
  2. Critically analyse and persuasively evaluate key concepts and policies in environmental justice, contextualised within a broad range of practice, policy and theoretical perspectives.
  3. Undertake research in order to analyse and synthesise complex information in response to complex issues relating to environmental justice
  4. Demonstrate engaging, detailed, and persuasive communication across a range of topics in environmental justice
