This unit helps bring together the aspects of digital marketing and creativity in marketing as organisations directly interact with customers. The unit will explore the different ways that digital and social media tools are managed by organisations. An organisation’s virtual presence for marketing purposes will be analysed. You will have the opportunity to learn and experience the different ways of creating, processing, promoting, manipulating and adapting an online identity for a marketing organisation.

Learning outcomes
- analyse the critical factors in digital marketing to expand base knowledge and create solutions for businesses
- integrate the digital marketing tools and/or strategies for managing digital marketing campaigns
- design a digital marketing plan by incorporating entrepreneurial skills to generate new ideas for the business
- display effective collaboration in team-based digital marketing projects by demonstrating coordination and teamwork to achieve shared objectives.
Workload
Minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this unit is 144 hours per semester typically comprising a mixture of scheduled learning activities and independent study. Independent study may include associated readings, assessment and preparation for scheduled activities. You are expected to complete all pre-class activities prior to your scheduled class, and post-class activities should be completed after your scheduled class. Learning activities may include a combination of teacher directed, peer directed and online engagement activities.
