This unit aims to assist you in acquiring a deeper understanding of market opportunities and techniques to identify, develop, implement, monitor and manage international marketing strategies in a volatile market environment. You will be exposed to contemporary international marketing literature, cases and internet based national/regional and global market information to build your analytical skills for international marketing operations.

Learning outcomes
- analyse the economic, political-legal, socio-cultural and other environmental factors to understand foreign markets for international marketing operations
- synthesise findings from secondary sources to produce evidence-based recommendations and potential risks for global market operations
- communicate the marketing plan orally with clarity, persuasiveness, and cultural sensitivity for the intended audience with the aid of AI tools
- recommend strategies and conduct impact analyses of the company’s international marketing programs and ventures
Workload
Minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this unit is 144 hours per semester typically comprising a mixture of scheduled learning activities and independent study. Independent study may include associated readings, assessment and preparation for scheduled activities. You are expected to complete all pre-class activities prior to your scheduled class, and post-class activities should be completed after your scheduled class. Learning activities may include a combination of teacher directed, peer directed and online engagement activities.
