Skills in clinical nutrition communication is important in the educational progress of future nutritionists. It requires a combination of nutritional expertise and psychological understanding for nutritionists to work in the community settings. Well-developed nutrition communication and intervention programs have been shown to reverse issues related to dietary adherence. In this unit, you will explore the psychological theories and health models that underpin human health behaviours and the development of clinical nutrition communication skills.

Workload
An average of 6 hours of teacher-directed study per week, including 2 hours of lectures, 2 hours of workshops per week and 3 hours of practical every fortnight. 6 hours per week of self-directed study. Total per week = 12 hours
