Overview

Once you have met all of the placement compliance requirements of the Bachelor of Paramedicine, you will complete eight days of clinical placement in a range of community and hospital settings. During these placements, you will demonstrate the professional language and behaviours expected of a paramedic, communicate effectively with patients, clients, community members, and health professionals, and reflect on the health issues and illnesses present in society. You will also develop cultural competence and social awareness, and implement a systematic, patient-focused approach to care using the clinical and communication skills learned in PAR1011 and PAR1012. Enrolment in this unit is dependent on successful completion of PAR1011 and PAR1012.
