Overview

In this unit you will learn the fundamental and essential skills, as well as state-of-the-art knowledge required for rigorous and effective research within the field of clinical psychology. The unit aims to teach you foundational concepts and practical techniques that are associated with designing, conducting and analysing clinical psychology research. You will learn about the application and implications of evidence based research in clinical psychology, with an emphasis on cultural relevance.

  5. Design a research project that addresses an issue in clinical psychology

Workload

Minimum total expected workload equals 144 hours per semester comprising: Contact hours for students: 3-hr workshop per week Additional requirements for students: Independent study including preparation, research activities, engaging with the literature to make up the required minimum hours during the semester.
