Overview

In this unit you will further develop your skills in clinical psychology research. You will focus on quantitative and qualitative data analysis, while further developing your research proposal. You will learn how you can use different approaches to data analysis in both clinical psychology research and practice. You will also learn how to communicate the results of data analysis to different audiences.

1. Evaluate data analysis methods used in clinical psychology research and assessment
2. Apply appropriately quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods to clinical psychology research questions
3. Accurately interpret findings in clinical psychology research
4. Communicate findings to a range of audiences
5. Design a feasible and appropriate data analysis plan for a research issue in clinical psychology

Workload

Minimum total expected workload equals 144 hours per semester comprising: Contact hours for students: 3-hr workshop per week Additional requirements for students: Independent study including preparation, research activities, and engaging with the literature to make up the required minimum hours during the semester.
