Overview

In this unit you will develop advanced obstetric ultrasound skills, focusing on evidence-based scanning methods and protocols throughout pregnancy, including the assessment of fetal growth, gestational age, and multiple pregnancies. You will gain competence in performing examinations, evaluating normal and abnormal findings, and interpreting sonographic appearances to inform clinical decision-making. During this unit you will communicate and collaborate with patients and multidisciplinary healthcare teams, applying ethical principles, and reflection on clinical and research-informed experiences to enhance professional competence and advance obstetric ultrasound practice.
