Overview

In this unit you will develop advanced skills in vascular ultrasound, focusing on evidence-based scanning methods, techniques, and protocols for the assessment of peripheral and central vessels. You will learn to interpret normal and abnormal vascular anatomy and physiology, including artefacts, stents, grafts, and post-transplant evaluations, to support accurate clinical decision-making. The unit also provides an opportunity for you to illustrate competent performance of vascular examinations, effective communication and collaboration with patients and healthcare teams, and reflection on clinical experiences to enhance professional practice in vascular sonography.
