Structure

You must complete 108 credit points from the Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Secondary Education including all of the requirements in Parts A, B, C, D and E and any special course requirements. Note: Students are also required to complete EDF1002 Preparing for the profession (0 credit points).

You must complete 96 credit points from the Bachelor of Arts including all the requirements from Parts A and B as described in the Bachelor of Arts degree. At least 24 credit points must be completed at Level 3. Note 1: Students enrolled in D30022 Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Secondary Education and Bachelor of Arts will complete: - 12 credit points of career focused portfolio studies; - 12 credit point of Arts elective studies; and - 24 credit points of Arts minor studies. The minor studies must meet VIT requirements. For further advice contact the Faculty of Education. Note 2: For your discipline studies in the double degree secondary education course, you must complete a Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) major and minor study that qualifies you to teach in two secondary teaching areas. Your VIT major study will be your first teaching area. Your VIT minor study will be your second teaching area. The minor study must consist of four units, with no more than two units at first year level. Space for the minor study units will come from elective unit allocations on the course map.
