Overview
This unit is a first-year, second-semester core interprofessional unit in the Bachelor of Allied Health (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Podiatry). In this unit you will build on foundational knowledge and concepts introduced to you in AHC1501. This unit will also provide you with knowledge and critical analysis skills regarding legal and ethical issues in practice, health promotion principles, and digital health. In addition, embedded in this unit is the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences Advocates in Indigenous Health - First Steps module. This module will enable you to learn about the history and culture of Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and how to provide culturally safe health care.
