In this unit, you will develop intermediate level music performance skills through the preparation and presentation of performance materials such as technical work, studies, solo and collaborative repertoire suitable for second year tertiary level. You will also develop creative skills and critical reflection through this unit.

Learning outcomes
- Demonstrate an intermediate level of instrumental/vocal technique, including control of rhythm, articulation, accuracy, timbre, dynamics and intonation (where applicable)
- Prepare and present performance materials such as technical requirements, studies, solo repertoire and/or collaborative repertoire that increase technical and creative skills development suitable for second year tertiary level;
- Demonstrate command of an intermediate level of musicianship and/or creativity, including appropriate artistic expression, improvisation and/or technology as appropriate;
- Engage in critical reflection of your creative practice.
Workload
Minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this unit is 144 hours per semester typically comprising a mixture of scheduled learning activities and independent study. Scheduled activities may include a combination of teacher directed learning, peer directed learning and online engagement.
