Overview

This unit provides you with the opportunity to develop and apply independent research and evaluation skills relevant to the practice of educational and developmental psychology. You will integrate knowledge of research methodologies with practical skills in evaluating evidence for use in clinical practice. You will identify a meaningful research question within a selected area of educational and developmental psychology and then plan, design, and conduct a brief capstone/research project to address this question. Throughout this unit, you will apply your knowledge of empirical research methods, demonstrate your capacity to plan a research project, synthesise and critically review literature, undertake data collection/extraction and/or analysis, interpret findings, and apply research principles to inform evidence-based psychological practice. The unit culminates in the submission of your capstone/research project.
