This unit advances knowledge, methods and principles in interaction design (UX Design) and focuses on furthering the practical and conceptual skills developed in preceding units. In the studio, you will be exposed to a broad range of user research methodologies for UX design and advanced user interface concepts and practices. You will explore the significance and complexity of interface design strategies and user needs through research methods in systematic design processes. A major design project encourages you to develop research skills and apply methods and principles of system design to solve complex interaction design issues.

Learning outcomes
- Demonstrate understanding of advanced Interaction design (UX) concepts, theories and principles, including user experience methodologies and interface design strategies.;
- Apply user research methods, problem-solving techniques, and technical skills to develop and manage complex interaction design projects from concept to completion.;
- Integrate insights from user behaviour, design research, and emerging technologies to create cohesive UX solutions;
- Reflect on personal design values and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders to address user needs and promote inclusive design practices;
- Demonstrate a commitment to ethical and socially responsible design by considering accessibility, sustainability, and the broader impact of interaction design decisions;
- Evaluate and adapt personal learning strategies to remain current with evolving UX design tools, trends, and methodologies.
