Overview

The unit forms a key element of Theme 4 - Research and Practice in Nutrition. It provides an opportunity for you to apply the knowledge and skills in nutrition and human health in a healthcare setting. You will be responsible for identifying and securing a suitable placement site, as outlined, before the commencement of the internship. During the placement, you will be required to work independently and, in a team, to design and implement an effective evidence-based nutrition program to clients. Through these activities, you will gain insights and practical experience as a nutritionist in real-life settings. An academic supervisor and an on-site supervisor will be appointed to monitor your progress throughout the internship.
