The unit provides you with experience in current aspects of pharmacy research within and outside the faculty and will allow you to develop skills in the presentation of research findings. This unit will expand your skills in scientific writing, synthesis and integration of ideas and findings. Content will include managing and analysing data, interpreting findings, synthesis findings into the broader literature in a report, oral and written presentation of findings. The research project builds on the knowledge gained from PHR5052 and will involve analysis and presentation of results from PHR5151. The unit is compatible with Monash University's goals for research-led teaching.

Assessment will comprise 100% in semester assessment. This unit is a pass grade only unit. Assessment will comprise 100% in-semester assessment. All learning outcomes will be assessed via a series of deliverables. All deliverables are competency hurdles. This unit contains one or more hurdle requirements which you must achieve to be able to pass the unit. You have one attempt, plus an additional assessment, to demonstrate your competency in each competency hurdle assessment task. If you fail to meet the hurdle requirement, you will receive a fail grade for the unit.

Learning outcomes
- Locate and critically evaluate literature relevant to the chosen research project
- Integrate and critically reflect on peer, collaborator and supervisor feedback to refine data analysis and interpretation
- Critically evaluate and graphically display research data
- Design and execute a research report in the form of a manuscript using accepted scientific structures and formatting
- Construct and deliver oral and written presentations about research objectives, methodologies, findings and conclusions to a diverse audience of students, healthcare professionals and academics
- Demonstrate project management skills by proactively negotiating, documenting and meeting group timelines
