Overview
This unit explores the underpinning theories, principles and practices of interface design and user interaction to create usable computer-based systems. It examines issues in the design of system interfaces from a number of perspectives of the user experience. The unit will cover topics such as theories and principles for designing effective user interfaces, methods and tools for developing different fidelity prototypes, and methods to evaluate the usability of interfaces with experts and users. The unit will also focus on designing for a diverse range of users and environments.
