Last checked: 23 Aug 2026 UTCOverview
This clinical placement unit will require you to complete a 5-week full time clinical placement in an acute, subacute/rehabilitation or community setting. This unit will enable you to build upon your knowledge and experience to further develop the competencies required for independent practice as a physiotherapist. Through supervised practice, you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills in assessment, treatment and client education, whilst working as part of a larger health care team. The professional, ethical and legal aspects of physiotherapy will be applied to practice, providing an opportunity to develop technical, clinical, personal and professional skills. There is a focus on developing skills in feedback dialogue for facilitating learning in self and others. Additional study modules on pharmacology and feedback will supplement the clinical placement experience.
